I would rather have him than any quarterback in the NFL, other than Mahommes.
He's got a much longer window than Rodgers and Wilson. Murray is too much of an injury risk at his size and with the amount he runs. Brees and Brady are washed. Allen's stats aren't better than Herbert, but he's a third year player and I still don't trust his decision making. Jackson was a nice novelty but can't pass. And Roethlisberger, Cousins and Carr are all older vets.
Herbert can run well enough that to force defenses to keep player guy as a spy, which impacts coverage schemes. He can throw a beautiful deep ball, which stretches defenses. And he doesn't turn over the ball four times in a game against teams missing their best players.
The Rams must stupid signings with Gurley, Goff, and Cooks, but survived two of the and have a Super Bowl level squad. Except for the quarterback. Sigh.
Thank God the NBA starts up in a couple of weeks.
