Bill Simmons said the same thing. He was their go-to guy in the Eastern Conference Finals, so he was already more important than Horford. I’m not a fan of Hayward at all, and Kyrie is useless on the defensive end. If you want to say Kyrie is their best offensive player, I wouldn’t argue. But Tatum is their best two-way player.
Also, defining someone as being good because they got a huge contract is ridiculous. Horford is a great role player and glue guy, but he’s not the best player on a championship team. There are at least five guys in the league better than him at whatever position you want to put him.
