Federer is better than Jordan:

1. Jordan never beat Magic or Bird in their prime and only dominated the league after added six teams; Federer regained the #1 ranking twice and won Grand Slams over Djokovic and Nadal.
2. Jordan quit basketball, and the Bulls won one less game the first year he left the team, so his teammates and coach played a large part of his success; Federer had to hit every shot in every point in his career.
3. Jordan was no longer a dominant player during his years with the Wizards, while Federer was winning Grand Slams and closing in on the longevity records of Connors and Rosewall.

I used to play on the circuit, and then coached over 20 years, but there are so few people interested in tennis here, I do most of my tennis writing on Quora.
