I didn’t take your response personally. Even in anger, you were far more polite than I’ve been in similar situations.
I blame my generation for electing Nixon through apathy, voting for Reagan in 1980, and generally f*cking up everything beyond recognition after our idealistic beginnings in the 1960s.
As a parent, I ask your generation to not repeat our mistakes, nor those of the Gen-Xers, whose apathy allowed W to run the country off a cliff.
We almost recovered from the Reagan years, and then got a second dose of Ameri-cide from Bush and Cheney. We haven’t even gotten back to the point we were in 2000, and now we’re facing the worst threat to this country of the three. I truly fear for the future of the country if Trump gets elected.
The only good news is we may not be around for me to write “it’s your fault millennials!”
Our votes won’t mean anything in California or Texas. Nor will our efforts to register voters in our home states. But if you make phone calls and get one Bernie Bro to vote for Hillary in Ohio or Florida, you will have done your country a great service.
I recognized the horror of simply voting and thinking my duty was done back in 2000, so I contributed to and worked on the last three presidential campaigns.
