Me too. GoT is based on the War of the Roses. Peaky Blinders is kind of like Good Fellas set in post-WWI England. Rome (HBO) had a ton of historically accurate details about the culture. TURN, based on the story of spies during the Revolutionary War, seemed to indicate the rise of a formal intelligence service within an army. Vikings taught us all about hot shield maidens who enjoyed a higher level of womens’ rights than the “civilized” Christian countries they pillage.
And who could forget Better Call Saul, dipping into the rich history of Heisenberg?
