The flip side of this is how many games the Celtics came back from double digit deficits with lousy shooters like Smart making key 3-pointers. Hell, even Baynes, with 4 three pointer over his first six season, was leading the league in 3-point shooting percentage at the end of the Philadelphia series (.474 3P%).
If the Celtics hadn’t been so fortunate during the season, maybe game 7 is played in Cleveland and the Cavs win easily.
Once again, these playoffs provide a huge argument for seeding at least the top 4 teams in the league, instead of the usual East-West divide. The NBA Finals will be anti-climactic, as they’ve been for so many years.
