The NCAA tournament is totally random, due in large part to the selection and seeding of the draw and the consistently bad referees. North Carolina was handed the game against Arkansas with that inexplicable charge-block-travel no call. Then they were given the game against Oregon with the no-call on Meeks going over the back off a missed free throw. In the “title” game, the calls against Zach Collins completely changed the game, as well as the bogus flagrant foul against Karnowski.

Gonzaga benefitted from one of the worst non calls of all time against Northwestern, and barely survived games against low seeds who pulled off upsets against the elite teams that would have given the Zags match up problems.

I’ve never seen an uglier championship game and was left feeling that neither team deserved to be there.
