I started out liking Bernie Sanders, though I leaned slightly toward Hillary Clinton. Yet I’ve come to the point where I can barely stand his face, and I just want him to stop jabbing his finger as he brays the same slogans in every single venue, over and over. How did I get to this point, especially as someone who had reservations about Clinton and who is th…
This is not the way you introduce a well researched, thoughtful piece advocating Hillary Clinton. You’re basically telling readers you are going to rant for the next forty two minutes.
And that’s exactly what you did.
Most of the decisive votes you point to are glossed over the same way Clinton has tried to attack Sanders’ postions. The Tarp/auto bailout vote attack actually backfired on Clinton and helped lose Michigan.
His stance on guns is definitely to the right of Clinton, but if someone gets a D from the NRA, you’re doing the exact thing you compalin that Sanders does in claiming that Clinton is not progressive enough. They voted the same way 93% of the time, so this entire argument is really stupid for either side to use.
The rest of your piece is fluff and character assassination and your conclusion that Sander is not worthy to be president is exactly the same thing you claim Sanders is doing to Clinton.
Let’s not forget how dirty the Clinton campaign got when she ran against Obama in 2008. Even progressive politics can get nasty.
It’s too bad you can’t write a compelling piece for why you support Clinton. People like you and the Bernie bros on the other side are just making it that much easier for the GOP to steal the next election.
That’s the real danger.
