Unless they swing a trade with Portland, this deal will most assuredly go South — in every possible meaning of the phrase.
Without Butler, they are a 35-win team.
Sadly, with the dysfunctional owner, serial career killer Thibs, and the horrible Wiggins contract, the bad karma of Kevin McHale (responsible for the first major Celtics heist of the 21st century) may continue torturing T-Wolves fans for years to come.
P.S.: Even though Butler is currently a better overall player than Kuzma, that may not be the case next year, as he follows the career paths of Deng, Noah and Rose. Kuzma is already a better 3-point shooter and rebounder, so he fits better with the Lakers. And, Kuzma is a fan favorite and a joy to watch. Butler just tries to bull his way down low, and the Lakers have someone who is even better at that style of play already.
The more I read this article, the more insulting you are toward Kuzma.
The Nuggets hang up on the Harris offer? Butler is way better in every single statistical category except 3-point percentage.
Kuzma basically beat Denver during their late season playoff drive while playing on a sprained ankle, and I wouldn’t trade him for Harris or Murray.
But the Lakers offer KCP, Beasley and Kuzma and the offer sucks for Minnesota?
