While I think Ingram has proven his worth as a point forward in many situations, IT has provided a bench spark the team needs. It is interesting to note that since IT joined the team, the Lakers have shot over 39% on 3-pointers in 7 out of 8 games. In the 54 prior games, they shot over 39% only 12 times.

The reason is not directly because of Thomas; in only 3 of the 7 games he’s played, has he shot over 39%. But since New Years, all the Lakers have improved their 3-point shooting:

KCP is over 45% in the first two months of the year

Lopez shot 34.3% in January and 40.4% in February

Hart shot 34.8% in January and 48.9% in February

Ball shot 32.4% in January, and 14 for 22 (63.6%) in his last 4 games.
