You’re right. Zen is good.
But it’s a lot easier to ignore politics if:
- You’re young
- Healthy
- White
- Male
- Employed
- Have a good support system
- Don’t have a child who is military age
Everyone else has a strong interest in preventing the GOP from killing the following: Social Security, Medicare, Obamacare, Women’s reproductive health rights, Labor rights, LGBT rights, Equal pay for equal work, a living minimum wage, environmental protection, food and drug safety, rebuilding our crumbling infrastructure, and lots of people (in the next unnecessary war).
